Project Coordinator & Field Executives - New

Objective of the Project: NSFI (National Skills Foundation India) is actively spearheading
Project Swadhaar, a significant and transformative initiative that receives support from
ANHEUSER BUSCH INBEV INDIA LIMITED (ABInBev) as part of their Strategic Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts in diverse regions of India, including Bannur and
surrounding areas in Mysuru, Karnataka. Committed to achieving its objectives, the dedicated
NSFI team meticulously conducted extensive research and assessments to identify trades that
could effectively complement and sustain both farm and non-farm livelihood activities for both
men and women in the targeted project region. Project Swadhaar aims to create a positive
impact by fostering sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural communities, contributing to
their economic empowerment and overall well-being.

 


Purpose: ABInBev and NSFI are working together to enable and support entrepreneurs
(men/women) in Mysuru District. The team will be required to provide leadership in project
planning and project implementation with its continued support.
The following positions are vacant:

 

 

I. Field Project Coordinator – (1 Person), Full Time

Location: Bannur, Mysuru (Karnataka) at the Project Implementation Field
Office

Reporting: Project Manager

Type of opening: Project-based short duration (till Dec 31, 2023 –
extendable)
Salary offered: Between Rs.30K – 40K - Commensurate with Experience and
comparable to industry standards

a) Qualification/Experience & qualities:

  • Graduate from Social Development studies/any stream, Mass communication will be
    advantage.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in development reports and collaboration documents
    development.
  • Excellent computer application knowledge, XL expertise
    Conversant in writing and speaking in Kannada & English (will be given preference)
    Must have a two-wheeler & Licence to drive it (will be given preference)
  • The Candidate is willing to travel to Identified villages minimum 5 -10 days in a Month

Job Responsibilities (Indicative)

  • Lead and supervise Field Executives and CRPs in diverse project activities, regularly
    reviewing their work.
  • Proactively conduct field visits to ensure project progress and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and arrange all project-related activities, such as training, meetings, and
    workshops, as advised by the Project Manager.
  • Identify and recruit Field Executives whenever the need arises.
  • Ensure timely settlement of all program activities with NSFI Head Office.
  • Gather necessary information and data requested by NSFI/ABInBev to facilitate
    decision-making processes.
  • Foster collaboration with PRI, line departments, and other non-government
    organizations at the District Level.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to facilitate project implementation through
    strategic partnerships with various organizations and agencies.
  • Prepare and submit trainee lists for Skill Development Training (SDT) and Enterprise
    Development Programme (EDP) to relevant agencies, such as Karnataka Skill
    Development Corporation (KSDC) and Rural Development and Self Employment
    Training Institute (RUDSETI), based on their respective trades.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with communities to drive economic and social
    transformation.
  • Coordinate and support documentation efforts, including case studies, best practice
    learning notes, handouts, photography, and short films.
  • Timely submission of reports to the Project Manager.
  • Procure goods and services for project activities in alignment with guidance from the
    Project Manager.
  • Ensure punctual submission of attendance records for Field Executives, travel
    expenses, and other reimbursement claims.
  • Establish governance and accountability mechanisms for community institutions.
  • Assist the team in preparing for donor field visits by providing background
    documentation.
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by competent authorities, such as Project Manager,
    Project Coordinator, or Partner organization.

Qualification/Experience & qualities:

  • Graduate from Social Development studies/any stream.
  • 1-2 years of Experience as in collecting various information / data as required from
    time to time from the field by making household visits

Job Responsibilities (Indicative)

  • Take charge of Institution Building & Capacity Building to ensure the sustainability of
    entrepreneurs in their enterprise development.
  • Facilitate bank linkages for entrepreneurs by coordinating with financial institutions.
  • Coordinate and support Community Resource Persons (CRPs) in their assigned tasks.
  • Conduct visits to local markets to assess market demand and create opportunities for
    entrepreneurs in the identified trades.
  • Identify suitable trades and provide information on low-cost and high-quality raw
    materials.
  • Organize and participate in regional and village-level meetings of Village
    Organizations (VOs), Self Help Groups (SHGs), Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), or
    relevant groups under Project Swadhaar, updating all related documentation.
  • Mobilize communities in villages and facilitate their participation in training programs
    like Fast Track and other relevant activities as needed.
  • Ensure smooth logistics management for training and other fieldwork.
  • Regularly update data with the assistance of the Field Project Coordinator.
  • Manage bill arrangements and monthly submissions to the Field Project Coordinator.
  • Maintain regular interactions with and provide mentorship to entrepreneurs.
  • Fulfill any additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the organization as
    required.

Job Description

National Skills Foundation of India invites applications from competent individuals for the position of Project Associate for Murthal, Sonipat, Haryana, for Project Sabala Saonipat.  Please note the position is a project-based short duration assignment.

 

Context:

NSFI is the Implementing Partner for Project Sabala, the CSR Programme of ABInBev and reaching out to put in place the Project Staff who will be responsible for rolling out the deliverables envisioned in the project villages in close coordination with CSR Partner representatives, Local Self Government Representatives, Community representatives and various other stakeholders who directly and indirectly have a bearing on the project impact envisioned.

 

The Project Associate will provide guidance to 3-10 staff who directly/indirectly reports to him/her. S/he will be making various efforts as a representative of NSFI in building sustainability of 60-70 Women entrepreneurs in the project villages and to provide leadership in planning & implementation of Project. Coordination with various stakeholders, rollout and fulfillment of various deliverables under the project, reporting the project progress and findings of various studies taken up in the project form the principal responsibility of the field officer in addition to relationship management of the project functionaries with the communities and other government representatives in the project area.

 

Job Responsibilities  (indicative)

 

  • Lead Field Executives and WRPs in various project activities and review their work from time to time.
  • Undertake field visits proactively
  • Make arrangements for all the project activities (trainings, meetings, workshops) as suggested by the Project Manager.
  • Identifying Field Executives as and when required.
  • Ensure the timely account settlement of all program activates with NSFI Head Office
  • Collect various information / data as required by NSFI / ABInBev from time to time for necessary decision making.
  • Liaisoning with PRI (Panchayati Raj Institutions), line departments and othe non-governmental organizations at District Level
  • Build rapport with the communities towards positive economic & social change
  • Coordinate with project manager and field staffs to develop various documentation purposes viz.,case-studies, best practical earning notes, handouts, photography, short films etc.,
  • Make timely reports to Project Manager
  • Procurement of Goods and services to complete the various activities as per the guidance and instructions from the Project Manager.
  • Ensure timely submission of attendance of Field Executives, travel and other reimbursement claims.
  • Establish governance and accountability mechanisms to be adopted by community institutions
  • Support the team of donor field visits (including the preparation of background documentation for the visits)
  • Take up any other task as allocated by competent authority at Project Manager, Project Coordinator & Partner organization

Qualification/Experience

  • Graduate from Social Development studies/any stream, Mass communication will be advantage.
  • 2-5 years of Experience in development reports and collaboration documents development.
  • Candidate must be conversant in writing and Speaking in English and Hindi languages (will be given preference)

National Skills Foundation of India invites applications from competent individuals for the position of Project Managers (Minimum of Two), Mysuru, to be positioned near Mysuru Project Site (near Bannur). Please note the position is a project-based short duration assignment. The opening is project-based short duration (one year – extendable).

 

Context:

Key Duties Responsibilities:

 

      • Project Management:
        • Selection and hiring of filed staff and a women's resource person (WRP)
        • Identification, decision-making, and establishment of a field office
        • Guidance to trainer to developing training material of all the training activities i.e., Awareness Programme, Technical Training, and Fast Track programme etc.
        • Preparation of weekly/ Monthly & quarterly report as well as supporting partners Coordination of Stakeholders field visits.
        • Documentation of various activities taken up under the project (attendance sheets, photos, excel workings, any other)
        • Donor & stakeholder reporting
        • Creating a budget and getting it approved by the project's authority and budget control
        • Ensuring the timely payment of salaries to field staff, Honorarium to WRP, Local Conveyance for field staff, payment to service provider and vendors etc.
        • Coordination with administration and accounts on procurement processes

 

    • Other Responsibilities:
      • Participate in necessary stakeholder coordination for the project's implementation through partnerships (district administration, line departments, NGOs etc.)
      • Lead the on the ground implementation of seed fund guidelines and transfer of seed funds to the entrepreneur groups including documentation for such fund transfer.
      • Reporting of fund utilisation w.r.t seed funds and status updates
      • Guide the field teams in procurement for enterprise set up and the running of enterprises.
      • Monitoring, enabling mentorship and guidance in setting up enterprises

  • Understanding of pine needle weaving and how it is done
  • Understanding market demands and trends for pine needle products
  • Improve designs of existing products
  • Create new produce prototypes
  • Train the master trainers/women entrepreneurs in various new designs.

  • Have an eye for color and shape and be able to translate requirements into practical product features.

  • A committed team of 3 persons to support any initiative that can help the women entrepreneurs

  • Technology quotient among women not assessed already – however, some of them already use social media channels for their nano-enterprise marketing

  • Training session timings is to be as per the convenience of the women (as they have other responsibilities to tend to)
  • Potential cancellation of sessions, as per weather conditions being a hilly terrain

 

Duration of Volunteering:

Rough estimate is about 3-4 months. But, need to layout the time plan based on expert inputs. There can be lags and spurts of active phases based on their agriculture activities on their vegetable farms. Periodic engagement would suffice than a full time engagement in this activity.

Online / Remote working based on convenience of the expert and that of women representatives. The initiative will operate in Junga area, about 25 Km from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

 

Remuneration:

Payment of any remuneration is not feasible. We are looking for probono volunteers. Experience certificate based on results is feasible.
